Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, sadness, burnout, childhood trauma, or simply not feeling good enough I can help. I know what it’s like to feel lost and need someone to talk to.

I grew up in an alcoholic fueled abusive environment.  It wore me down and left me feeling like I couldn’t trust anyone, not even myself.  There weren’t a lot of resources back then.  I spent many years in therapy, groups, and on medications.  It wasn’t until I found Eastern Wisdom that things started to make sense.  I’m not religious but I was fascinated with the psychology and philosophy of it.  This is where true understand and healing began and in the  process I learned to be kind and loving to myself.

I specialize in working with those who feel disconnected from themselves and others. They are so hard on themselves and they put their needs at the bottom of the to-do list and wonder if life should feel better, happier.

Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and uncertain about how they are supposed to manage their relationships, careers, and their lives. Pushing away your needs and not taking time for yourself can lead to long-term issues for your mind and body.

I believe it shouldn’t be so hard to live a better life. We live in a world that at every turn tells us we’re not good enough. It is overwhelming and exhausting trying to do what we think we “should” be doing. Our bodies are disconnected from our minds and quite often (most often) our bodies are smarter than we are. They are screaming to be heard and held with kindness.

At Balanced Wisdom, I offer a custom approach for each of my clients. I start with understanding where you are now and the challenges you face. I help you put a plan in place to help you move forward, and we celebrate your successes along the way. It might mean learning to set boundaries, working through a loss or life transition – it could be changing a pattern of behaviour that is keeping you stuck. It could be healing from childhood trauma or burnout. My goal is to help you trust and love yourself as you should.

My practical tools and integrated, experiential approach will help you uncover and heal old wounds, uncover who you really are, and change your relationship with yourself and others. This will lead to better relationships, reduced stress, and true happiness and joy. It is the only way to live!

I have over 25 years of experience working with people who need to be heard. I have been studying spirituality and Buddhist Psychology for 30 years, mainly mindfulness and meditation, to help people connect their body and mind and relate to themselves, and others, in a kinder, more gentle way. Modern science now proves what Buddhist psychology and wisdom knew 2500 years ago, that we can use mindfulness and meditation to change our neuro-pathways and bodies and bring kindness and compassion to ourselves and the world.

I am a registered psychotherapist and I know how hard it can be to find the right person to work with. This is why I offer a free 15-minute consultation to make sure I am the right fit for you.
